Our
Events
Community + latino Culture
Our events are a way to connect with Latino culture while supporting our work to build a better future for our people. You can support our mission by sponsoring, attending and promoting our events all while learning about the Latino people and culture already thriving in our community.
Adelante Soirée
The Adelante Soirée is the LEDC’s premier annual event, celebrating the achievements, culture, and growing influence of the Latino community in Omaha. As both a cultural celebration and a critical fundraising platform, the event unites over 500 community leaders, business owners, and partners to support our mission of advancing economic opportunity, leadership, and cultural pride. Through this event, LEDC not only raises essential funds but also fosters meaningful collaboration, amplifies Latino voices, and builds momentum toward a more equitable and inclusive future for South Omaha.
latino summit
Join us for panel discussions, networking sessions, and workshops focused on education, small business growth, civic engagement, immigration, and access to a variety of resources.
The two events will feature an impressive lineup of moderators, panelists, and guest speakers, each sharing personal stories, professional insights, and strategies to help elevate the Latino community in Nebraska and beyond.
The Latino Summit serves as a powerful platform for elevating Latino voices and celebrating resilience, culture, and our economic contribution.
Partnerships
South East Revitalize and Thrive Community Partnership
South Omaha is home to a richly diverse population, including multigenerational immigrant families, cultural leaders, and one of the highest concentrations of Latino-owned businesses in the state. The neighborhood’s entrepreneurial energy, cultural pride, and deep-rooted community networks made it an ideal setting for the Revitalize and Thrive Partnership Program. LEDC is proud to lead this effort in South East Omaha.
Casa de la cultura
Casa de la Cultura hosts the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration in South Omaha, one of the largest cultural festivals in the Midwest, drawing thousands of attendees each year to honor Latino heritage, community and tradition. Hosted in the heart of Omaha’s historic South 24th Street district, this multi-day event features a vibrant parade, live music, traditional food, dancing and many more family-friendly activities. More than just a festival, this event serves as a powerful expression of cultural pride and economic vitality, supporting local businesses and strengthening community connections.
